London – Palestine today
British driver Catherine Legge said on Thursday that she will undergo surgery to repair a left leg injury after she crashed during a pre-season test at France’s Lo Castelles at the weekend, where Legge was racing for Richard Mille’s women’s team and was injured in the process. Wednesday’s accident also broke her right wrist after her car left the track and crashed into a barrier.
Race organizers said in a statement that Liege did not lose consciousness after the accident and was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Toulon.
“Thank you very much to everyone involved in my care,” Lage said on social media, “I really appreciate your efforts and everything you did to get me out in the best possible way.”
She added, “I’ll be having surgery on my left leg in a few hours, and I’ll update you on developments after that.”
